/ cigar retailers

For many who are just starting with the experience of cigar smoking, or even cigar enthusiasts who already know their stuff, one of the questions asked is “where to buy cigars online” particularly when there are no shops in the area that sells cigars, or if the shops don’t sell that particular cigar they want.

There are a lot of online shops selling various types of cigars. However, if you do find where to buy cigars online, you have to make certain that the shop you are purchasing from do have great quality cigars, are FDA approved, and that they are credible retailers. Moreover, there are certain regulations that retailers need to abide by to ensure their products are safe, operating legally and are in compliance with the law. One of the reasons why such regulations are imposed is to deter the youth from smoking.

US FDA Regulations for Tobacco Retailers

The FDA in the US regulates every tobacco product, which includes cigars, e-cigarettes, and hookah tobacco. Retailers of tobacco-related products directly take part in safeguarding the youth from addiction to nicotine as well as the lethal effects of using tobacco.

So, what do retailers of any tobacco-related products have to abide by the regulations which were created to prevent and discourage the youth from using such products and keeping them away from diseases related to tobacco use. Watch the video below:

Selling of Tobacco Products in Retail Stores Including Online Stores

As a retailer, if you do sell cigars, e-cigarettes, and hookah tobacco as well as other tobacco products, you have to meet and obey all federal laws and regulations that are specific for retailers. When you follow these regulations, you are helping in preventing the youth from acquiring these products.

The president, on December 20, 2019, initialed legislation amending the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. This increased the federal minimum age of sale of tobacco-related products to 21 years old from 18 years old. Hence, it is already illegal or unlawful for a retailer, whether brick-and-mortar or online, to sell any tobacco-related products, which includes cigars, cigarettes and e-cigarettes, to individual who are under 21 years old.
